[ how do you play chairwars? ]

If you want to be the very best at Chairwars you're going to need all the help you can get. The tips page is updated regularly and you can submit your tip to be shown on the page.

Tip #1

When you slide down the ramp turn your back to your opponent. That way they get hit with the back of your chair and you don't brake both your legs.

Tip#2

Keep your hands gripping the side of your chair and your feet well lodged on the base. If either of your feet touch the ground you're out. You want your hands out of the way when you crash but you don't want to fall off because you weren't holding on.

Tip #3

Thanks to Ronnie for this tip: If you are finding that your chair is a bit slow, it helps to oil the area around the wheels before a big chairwars tournament.

Tip #4

Thanks to MoW for this tip: I found that a small jump just before impact (no more than a foot or so) was quite effective at taking out opponents but practice is needed to learn how to control it so you don't fall over yourself.

Tip #5

Thanks to Mark for this tip: Use a reasonably heavy chair so it has more power and momentum.

Tip #6

Thanks to Sal for this tip: Hold your head down, and make yourself more compact within your chair, that way you create more impact when you hit the other person, because your mass is more ... solid ... it does work.

Tip #7

Thanks to James Humphries for this tip: I found out if u lean forward while taking off u can get much more height when attacking the opponent.

Tip #8

Thanks to Powman: as you come towards your opponent a skillful tactic is to time a spin so that you hit them with the added momentum which actually adds balance because of centrifugal force.

Tip #9

Thanks to Pentiah for this tip: put on some weight, and strategically choose the battle ground before your opponent. This enables you to select a more sloping surface, which works in your favour, also intensified by your weight gain.

Tip #10

Thanks to SonicSnake for this tip: dress up in a ninja suit before a tournement. This will aid you in the "looking cool" part.
